I was born near the gulf coast in Florida.
When I turned 21 I went on a road trip and stopped by Gunnison Colorado, then to Montana, and finally ended up settling down in
greater Seattle Area. Since then I've been traveling around the country to dance conventions and
I spend a little bit of my time in Santa Barbara, CA. I've always
been active in music and a physical activity. It could be hiking, golf, downhill sking, mountian biking, tennis, ice skating. You name it
I've probably done it. My love for things techical and nature was only exceeded by my love of music and dance.
I was a freestyle dancer as a kid, danced a bit of Disco, but everything changed when I discovered
West Coast Swing, Night Club 2 Step and Agentine Tango. They really connected to the inner me.
Now my life is deeply involved with dancing and I DJ in my spare time. I like to design software and I still actively create and produce music.
I have a consultant firm called Codewise Design.
My main degree is in Electrical Enginnering with minor studies in Philosphy and
Physics. My last project involved computer virtualization and network SANS. I typically
code in C# and have been contracting to Microsoft for over 14 years.
I'm an extremely active dancer. West Coast Swing is
my main dance but I also dance Night Club 2 Step and a bit of Agentine Tango. I
attend national conventions reqularly and am a very active social dancer and
dance competitor. I'm also working on swing dance judges training.
I've been playing music since I was 8. I've stopped
occasionally to keep my perspective in line but have always returned to play and
produce music in some form. I play guitar, drums, keyboards, bass and am a
vocalist as well. I also compose, perform, engineer and produce my own music.
See my music website :-) Even though I've been playing for years it's how I have
fun and its not how I make an income. I use a lot it a lot in my dance style.
I've played many different styles though the years, so I consider myself,
foremost a composer.
I've got a thoughtful philosophical side and try to
have a balanced approach to life but none of that came easy and you'll have to
ask me if you want to know about that side of me. I have a pervasive comic sense
of relief that also helps me out when too much drama comes into my life. I love
sharing moments with other people.
I'm very proactive at changing myself, fine tunning you know. In order
to change we must conciously be involved with it. It's all about knowing what you don't know. Rather socratic actually.
I have an unpublished book I've worked on for years
off and on. It's a Epic Fantasy. I've also written many many poems which have
ultimately made their way into lyrics to some of my songs. A few poems have been published.
I'm very socially active in the dance community and I
love sharing ideas and time with friends. I'm also open to new ideas and activities.
We need them to
grow and survive but we need to temper them with thoughful release to not burden
others with undue expectations. Release can be a source of depression, but
remember that whenever there is space, you give room for good stuff to happen!
